The Paper Artist/Creative Card Design

  5 Minute Monday ~ Book Binding Card Today's card is definitely very quick & very easy!!  This card layout turns out so pretty, displays perfectly, completely versatile, and so easy to create! So let's get started!  Card Measurements: Card base: 4 1/4 x 11 Score @ 4, 5 1/2  Scrap for Sentiment Layer DSP 1: 3 3/4 x 4  DSP 2 : 1 1/4 x 4 Basic White: 3 3/4 x 4  Scrap to stamp Sentiment Cut and score pieces as outlined above. Attach designer series paper pieces to card front.  Run ribbon through middle of card base, tie a bow. Adhere glue to the inside seam of card where the ribbon is and press down to secure.  Stamp inside layer and attach to card inside.  Stamp a sentiment ( I used a sentiment punch ), and back the sentiment with co- ordinating color cardstock.  Attach to card front using dimensionals. Add some bling! Don't forget to decorate your envelope!  And just like that... A beautiful card ready to send off!  I create...

  Ladybug Or??? All week we have some some really cute ladybug cards! Some red, some blue, some blush pink, and even some magenta madness in color.  I still want to try purple and a few other colors! What color would you make your ladybugs? Who says it has to be a ladybug? Well... turns out it the fantastic "Hello Ladybug" bundle doesn't just have to be for ladybugs! Yep!! They are bees!!  And incredibly adorable bees at that!  Many times our stamps, punches and dies, can be used to create an image that they weren't originally intended for. That's creativity at it's best!  Here is the card I created using the re invented "bee"!   Downtime at my Desk ~ Creating fun cards!  Normally when I sit down at my desk there is a purpose. It's to create a card for a blog post, for a tutorial, for card classes, or a special order. Today I sat down with no other purpose than to have some fun creating. I was able to put some ideas that have been floating around in my head space for quite some time, onto paper ( so to speak ).   It was an extremely successful day for creativity since all the projects turned out simply adorable!  I'll be sharing some of these in the next few days. What Color Should a Ladybug Be?   I debated this question as I created this card today featuring Blue Ladybugs, and I love them! What color do you think Ladybugs should be? Zoom in and check out the ladybug eyes! They look so cool. Unfortunately these were some retired gems that I had hanging about, yet turned out to be perfect for this project!
