The Paper Artist/Creative Card Design

   The Luminary card allows you to create a box type layout that a small battery operated tealight candle will fit inside and allows a flickering candle flame behind the design on your card. Below is an example of Luminary card that I created last year, unfortunately the photo flickering was in a video. However, you can imagine it. Now I'm going to have to create another one just to show the effect properly. Traditionally I have used this card layout for a luminary card, until I recently saw my friend Karen ( www.karenstamps.com ) post a scene card using the Friends of the Forest Stamp Set. Let me just say, it was adorable!  Of course, I had to give it a try and here is my CASED version of her card below. Isn't it just sweet!   Quick & Easy Center Flap Easel Card Simply Adorable!!  This card layout is a bit of a center easel card layout. Extremely easy! Lately it seems like any card I am just playing around with when creating ends up featuring these Happy Little Hedgehogs, I guess they just pair well with creativity.  Products used to make this card:  Happy Hedgehog Bundle The designer series paper was from a retired pack of Sale a-bration paper. There are so many other choices that would work quite nicely with this design.   Sweet Strawberry Bundle ~  Don't Miss The Savings Yesterday, Five Minute Monday featured a "sweet" card featuring the Sweet Strawberry Bundle. Today I have a few more card layouts just to give you an idea of what the bundle is capable of. These are just a few ideas, the possibilities are endless! Here we have a quick & easy easel card layout.  Definitely quite cute! A simple Joy Fold type layout. Those juicy red strawberries really compliment that white wood background paper! Though I have created cards using this layout a hundred times, I don't really know a name for it. However, it gives you a lovely little theatre type effect that makes any card a "wow" card.   It's Five Minute Monday ~ Sweet Strawberries! So today's card features the Sweet Strawberry Bundle! This Bundle is on the "retiring" list for Stampin Up. I have chosen to feature this bundle for today's tutorial for 2 reasons~  I love a stamp set with a punch ( as you all know ) , however mostly I don't feel "Sweet Strawberry" bundle was given enough attention when it made it's debut last spring.   If you need another reason, the Sweet Strawberry Stamp Set, and the Strawberry Builder punch are currently reduced in price. Check out that savings below.  Retiring or not, this stamp set still has the potential to create beautiful cards. Given that it is a bundle with a punch it also boasts affordability.  This card features both the "retiring" Sweet Strawberry Bundle" with a rather new designer series paper ~ Heart & Home, and looks fabulous!  The old & the new compliment each other well.  I love the Heart & Home designer...
