Paradise Palms ~ Plus a Sneak Peek!

Image
More Gorgeous Cards from Paradise Palms Bundle The background of this card was blending with a few ink colors to create the sky and the water at sunset. The rest of the card included only die cut pieces from the Palms Dies in black cardstock.  This left me with a completely gorgeous card! This card was created using the Oceanfront stamp set and a little masking technique. The beach chairs were stamped and then masked off before stamping the background.  Don't recognize those beach chairs ~ they are a sneak peek of a whole new stamp set coming in the Holiday Mini Catalogue set to release on July 1st, 2022.  You'll love it! The palm trees, grass and sun were die cut using the Palms Dies. I added a little cloud from the Give it a Whirl Dies.  Beautiful card with an extremely beachy vibe!  Featured Product Links:   Paradise Palms Bundle Palms Die Set Give it a Whirl Dies Oceanfront Stamp Set   I hope today's cards have given you a little inspiration...

5 Minute Monday ~ June 20 ~ Quick Easy Cardmaking with Background Paper & Dies

Image
Yes... I created this card in 5 minutes.  You can to! Here's how... Grab a piece of Evening Evergreen Cardstock cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 , and scored @ 4 1/4 to create a card base. Next, get a piece of paper from the horizons designer series paper pack.  * If you don't have that, it's currently available in the " Last Chance " product sale for the month of June only. ( Since creating this post it appears the Horizons paper may be no longer available, so hopefully you already have some) Today's card features the Paradise Palms Bundle , though mostly just the  Palms die set from it ( the stamps were only used for the card inside. Let's check the Paradise Palms bundle out for a minute before we get to creating the card.  This set might not look like much, however that would be wrong to think so.  This  set has the capability of making your cards just go to "wow".  The die cuts are completely awesome, great add ons for all of our scene cards. The st...

Oceanfront Stamp set Part 2 ~ Creating beautiful scenes

Image
The Oceanfront stamp set proves to be very adaptable, as you can see in the examples below.  The first example being a card front that displays a setting sun.  This card was easily created using a mask for the sun, stamping over it, then shading the sun and the horizon using a finger dabber and some Mango Melody Ink. Later into the evening, we see a silver moon! The moon was stamped with a circular stamp using Versimark Ink and then heat embossed with silver embossing powder . The color tones include misty moonlight ( stamped off ), tahitian tide for the water, and basic grey for the beach sand.  The grass is stamped in black to create a silhouette effect.  The card front is framed with 2 sections ( each popped up on dimensionals ) from the Layering Diorama dies . I think we talked about the Oceanfront Stamp set not only for creating water... it looks great when creating just a simple ground landscape as well.  The card front below displays a beautiful ...

Blending a background ~ Shaded Summer

Image
Some gorgeous cards created using the Shades of Summer Stamp set and dies, with a stenciled background.  Let's talk " Shaded Summer "... This stamp set was around last year, and in fact had a matching set of " Summer Shadows " dies that became available during a Sale a-bration event.  I was so happy to see that this stamp set as well as the dies, made it to the New Annual Catalogue. This means they will be around for at least another year! Which was a great discovery, since I had hardly even used them.  I was just so busy with other "popular" stamp sets that Shaded Summer seem to have gotten overlooked.  I think this was true for many as I haven't really seen a lot of cards floating around created with them. I love that they have been given a second life, so to speak! When given the opportunity to sit down and actually play with them, it became clear they just had so many possibilites. The flower stamps are simple and elegant. The greetings and s...
