What I did today?

Image
So this is what I was up to today...short of some household stuff, a bit of business, cleaning some bathrooms and watering the garden.. that kind of stuff ~ I found some time to create these beautiful cards that reminded me of my gardens!  Now.. as usual, the lighting is off a bit and those leaves are really not that dark. I cut and stamped them in Evening Evergreen which is really close to the leaf color on some of my hydrangeas. Creating these cards was a realization that we have so many products still available in the Annual Catalogue that may have been overlooked. Hydrangea Haven made its debut for last spring, and is still just as beautiful today.  Pulling these stamps out was a chance to continue creating with something that I loved enough to buy and enough to continue using.  So if you have Hydrangea Haven or any other stamp set that you haven't used in awhile, pull it out and get creative! Another look at "Celebrate Sunflowers"... definitely worth a second ...

Storybook Fold with Storybook Gnomes

This Storybook card featuring the Storybook Gnomes designer paper could be one of the tutorials going out to email boxes for  August Paper Adventures!!  Comments and email requests are how I decide what will go out each month for exclusive tutorials.   So be sure to get your choices into the comments.  If there is a particular stamp set, product, suite of products or technique that you would like to see featured on a card ~ please let me know! It's like "request hour" on the radio ( back in the 80's ).  All in the comments below 👇👇👇

5 Minute Monday ~ Christmas in July

Image
Is it to early for Christmas?! What?!?!? Christmas? It's July! That's right, it's Christmas in July! Though I don't feed into the whole "Christmas in July" thing so much, I figure we ought to make at least one card so that everyone doesn't miss out on an amazing die set available only during Sale a-bration .  Like all of the Sale a-bration goodies, this die set is only available until August, 31st or while supplies last. While Supplies Last is the "iffy" part, some Sale a-bration items have already sold out. So, if you are absolutely in love with this die set, you may want to get crackin' and get it ordered up to be sure that you have it to make your Christmas cards!  Today's card uses only a few of the awesome little dies included in the  Tree Lot Dies . Yes, you saw it, this die comes with the infamous little camper that you see on merchandise everywhere! The die set also includes little wreaths and accents to decorate up the trailer,...

Adventures with the "Kindest Gnomes"

Image
It's been an extremely busy few weeks, however I did manage to create a few projects.  These projects were created to show a combination of products that created a gorgeous fall them for these cards ( don't worry, we're not done with summer yet ). I simply love Sunflower season! These projects were created to show a combination of products including the Kindest Gnomes Bundle , Hello Harvest Bundle ,  Cheerful Basket Bundle & Rustic Harvest Designer Paper . Playing with these products led from one card to another, all of which I tried to have some fun with the little Gnome fellow. I did use the same gnome on all of the cards ~ I think it was the cute little peekaboo effect of this particular gnome, plus he was a sitting gnome which worked into what I was creating on the card front. The Kindest Gnomes stamp set has a 4 Gnomes and a Shroom House to choose from for graphics, and a few greetings.   This card showcased some beautiful red apples from Cheerful Baskets...

5 Minute Monday ~ Wonderful World

Image
Just a few days ago I found myself in the same dilemma that I speak of often when teaching a card tutorial. I was heading out the door to a function and realized I needed a quick Birthday card to take with me. For a moment I looked like a deer in the headlights... what would I make quickly?!  I looked around my office and there was a Stampin' Up Delivery box from a few days ago that I hadn't gotten around to unpacking yet. 😲 I know... you're wondering how that could happen? How could I receive a box of goodies and not have them unpacked yet? It's been a very busy few weeks, hence why I was also unprepared for a birthday. I told myself "whatever is in this box" ~ I'm making a card with ~ Time limit = 5 Minutes or less ( preferably less ). Luckily the box contained these beautiful tag dies ~   Designer Tag Dies I was hopeful I could whip something up using these. These dies leave so many options to create beautiful tags and cards.  When I saw the "Wo...
