The Paper Artist/Creative Card Design

  Here's an additional card that fell into last week's 5 Minute Monday  ~ Aspen Tree Dies . I still have a few of them to share!  The concept was so easy to create multiple cards by simply changing out the focal image. Or were the beautiful die cut trees the focal image?   This one features another piece of the beautiful paper from Rings of Love paper pack available for just another 2 days as well as a cute little squirrel from the Nuts About Squirrels stamp set.   Summer is fading fast...  I've noticed a few leaves changing to a beautiful Merlot color, daylight is getting shorter each day, and the squirrels are starting to store food for winter.   Today's card features a grey squirrel scurrying up a branch to stash his treasure of an acorn. It's quick and easy to create.   I created this super cute card last week and forgot to post it!   It's the perfect reminder that Sale a-bration is coming to an end ~ so if you haven't cashed in on the Hippest Hippo Stamp Set & Hippo Dies yet... time is running out!   This beautiful card was also created using that amazing die from the Aspen Dies included in the Perched in a Tree Bundle . The Rings of Love Designer Series Paper was also used again for the background of the card. The card measurements & Instructions are the same as 5 Minute Monday ~ Aspen Tree Dies This time I stamped a branch and the bird from the Perched in a tree stamp set. I colored the bird to coordinate with the background paper and perched him on the tree branch on the card front. I stamped a simple " Happy Birthday" greeting from the Go To Greetings stamp set and attached.    Product Links:

  The Aspen Dies ~ this die in particular from the set, makes creating a quick card a breeze.  This card is works for many occasions. I've chosen "birthday" since that's the occasion I need most often. This card works perfectly for masculine cards, or anyone that loves the outdoors or a scenic sky.   Today's card is not only clean & classy, it's also quick & easy!! It features a simple stamped image, some gold twine, a few metallic gems and a greeting all displayed on a crisp white embossed layer for the card front.  This card design can be created using many different images, sentiments, and embellishments ~ so use what you have!  Products used to create this card:    8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Evening Evergreen Cardstock Scored at 4 1/4 5 1/4 x 4 Basic White Cardstock Embossed with the Fern 3D Embossing folder Wrap Gold Twine around the embossed layer several times and tie a bow. I used a retired gold twine or you could use Simply Elegant Trim 1 smaller size Basic White circle die cut to stamp the greeting. 1 larger circle die cut in Evening Evergreen to back the greeting.   This week has found me first of all very sick... however I knew I was feeling somewhat better when I was able to crawl to my desk and partake in a little paper crafting, which is always one of  my happy places! I pulled out this Heron Habitat stamp set & dies ( bundle ), and how relaxing that has been to work with.  As you can see ~ the Oceanfront stamp set was the perfect pairing for Heron Habitat right from the get go! I don't know a lot about Heron's or their habitat, other than they are normally found near water. I'm not even sure of the color they are supposed to be. Here in Ontario, we have a blue Heron, so perhaps my color choice should slant a bit towards a blue color on some future cards. They have always just looked like a bit of a shabby gray to me.  What color do you think the Herons should be?  And... what kind of habitat do you think they would be in?   Is it just me?! Or is anyone else just absolutely in love with the Soft Seedlings stamp set? It's a pretty basic stamp set. Not full of bells and whistles, yet has the ability to create some extremely beautiful cards... and very easily at that! Today's card is definitely a really simple card.
