Nuts about Squirrels ~ Card Request

Image
I get a ton of emails everyday... which I love! So keep them coming.  Some just have a question about how I did a certain technique or maybe just confirming some of  the wonky directions on a tutorial ( cuz that could easily happen ). I get emails of thanks and appreciation ~ I really love those ones ~ they just warm my heart and I also get requests for card ideas using a particular stamp set or image.  So Linda needed some ideas for the Nuts about Squirrels stamp set.  This card was created using Nuts about Squirrels combined with the Hello Harvest Bundle, as well as the Leaf Fall 3D embossing folder.  The card is pretty straight forward with a traditional card base cut at 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 ~ Scored at 4 1/4 The embossed layer is Very Vanilla cut at 4 x 5 1/4 The Sentiment was heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder on a pieced of Cherry Cobbler card stock to coordinate with the card base color.  I stamped and colored a pumpkin from the Hello Harvest B...

Ho Ho Ho ~ Paper Pumpkin Kit Alternative Card

Image
I have a few ladies who receive Paper Pumpkin Kits and often need a few hints or ideas to get motivated.  Paper Pumpkin is a terrific way to create your own hand made cards without the heavy overhead of products that can turn into a hoarders haven of stamps and paper ( not that my studio looks like ~ most days ).  The kits come with everything required to create the products, usually cards ~ sometimes tags or a treat holder. I see even the tag and treat holder kits turned into cards by means of alternating the instructions.  The included instructions are simply a guideline, and by no means do you have to create your cards exactly as shown.  The card I created above was exactly that... an alternative card that was super fun to make, and a little playful.  I can't stop shaking it... that's right ~ this simple card was easily turned into a shaker card.  I created 3 of the shaker card, and here are the rest of the cards included in the "Ho Ho Ho" kit. Be...

The Paper Adventures ~ Sneak Peeks! Don't forget to sign up!

Some cute tutorials that went out in The Paper Adventures Newsletter so far in October.   This card features an intriguing type of easel layout. This beautiful designer paper just screams autumn! The pumpkins I colored look pretty sweet to!  These treat/gift bags are completely cute and hold just the right amount of treats for the ghosts and goblins knocking on your door!  The back of the tag allows a space to provide your info either for safety or promo purposes.  If Halloween is not your thing... then.... Here's a super quick and easy layout for a Christmas treat bag! Either layout is perfect for giving a small gift, someone's favorite candy or even as table favors for Thanksgiving or Christmas! Or just any day really... does there have to be an excuse to give or receive candy??! The tutorial for this super cute and super spooky card went out in the newsletter as well.  There are some great tutorials coming up for Newsletter subscribers... to help prepa...

Fitting Florets ~ Beautiful Dresser Card

Image
I created this card using the Fitting Florets Suite ( which is available for purchase Nov. 1st ).  The suite is a sneak peek from the New catalogue that will release in January. This collection of products are just beautiful.  Everything about the Fitting Florets Suite reminds me of an era gone by. The beautiful paper reminds me of 1950's wallpapers... I wasn't here for that time frame however it is an era that completely intrigues me.  The stately framelets included in the dies are like the mirrors of antique dressers or picture frames. From the moment I sat down to create... I kept thinking of my grandmother's dresser. Hence this card was created to depict the swivel mirror atop an old fashioned dresser.  This card is only a slight taste of what the Fitting Florets Suite has to offer. I have created a Christmas card  ( I'll share that this week coming ) using one of the stamp sets and dies as well...  yes! I said "one" of the stamp sets. The suite ...

Snowman Magic ~ Card 4 ~ Step it up!

Image
The fourth card in the Snowman Magic Series uses our same fun little snowman and a snow woman!  He is so dashing and debonair with this top hat and bow tie, while she is wrapped in a the warmth of her brightly colored hat and scarf.  "I love you snow much" as one hands their heart to the other with their snowy little twig arms.  This card portrays that magical story to the receiver. If nothing else it sends a very loving Holiday wish.  It is "snow" cute!  The card layout is a stepped up version that allows for a little pop up fun removed from the envelope.  A very simple fun fold! It is virtually the same layout as Card 3 only applying the framed scene rather than the frame & large greeting.  Cutting Measurements:  Tahitian Tide card stock - 8 3/4 x 4 1/4  Scored @ 1, 1 1/2, 2 3/4, 3 3/4 6 x 3 1/4 Scored @ 1/2, 1 1/2  Scrap to die cut the trees, and tiny heart Basic White card stock - 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 ( cut 2 ) Scrap for Stamp...
