5 Minute Monday ~ Scrap Buster Christmas Card! ( Scroll for Non Christmas Version )

Image
Today's 5 Minute Monday Tutorial is not only quick, easy, and beautiful ~ it's also a great Scrap Buster !!  Do you have tons of tiny scraps of designer series paper left over from card making or scrapbooking?  This card layout is a perfect use for those small scraps.  I didn't have a lot of Christmas paper this year, however I do have leftover paper from previous years so these card samples consist of one with this years Lights Aglow paper, and one with a retired paper ( which I loved ).  So here we go... you will need: Cardstock - 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  Scored @ 4 1/4  Basic White Cardstock - 4 x 5 1/4 ( Cut 2 ) Designer Paper - 3 1/2 x 7/8 ( Cut 2 ) 3 x 7/8  2 1/2 x 7/8  Instructions:  Cut & Score card pieces. Banner cut the ends of all 4 strips ( 3 for card front, 1 for card inside ) Attach 3 of the banner strips in 3 different lengths to a Basic White Cardstock layer, as pictured. Stamp a greeting in the bottom right corner of this sa...

Sunny Season's Greetings! Cute card, however the stamp set makes "The ? of 2022 List"

Sunny Season's Greetings!  My Daughter in Law's parents are in one of those warm beachy climates ( I forgot the exact place ) right now and during a video call last week I was able to see the gorgeous view... just unbelievable beauty.  Now this wasn't quite the view... however it's been in my head since. So this morning I decided I would create a card using a stamp set that I bought for the holiday season, and ended up using it only once. Yikes... have you ever done that? While thinking of that beautiful ocean view I thought of all the people who don't live here in cold, cold Canada and realized that everyone's Christmas season doesn't involve snow and pine trees.  With that in mind I created a card with a "sandman" instead of the traditional snowman.  The creation of this card involved some blending, masking and just stamping.  The Greeting is popped up on dimensionals and I am sure I'm going to go back and die cut those sunglasses and pop t...

Trees For Sale ~ Simple Stamping

Image
Here's a quick & easy Christmas card, that would have been this week's 5 Minute Monday.  However, on Monday I was at Chemo with my daughter in law and there is no where else I would have been. Now if I were completely organized with the many things I juggle on a daily basis ~ I would have already had the post prepared for this card when Monday came, but that is so not me... I am always just flying by the seat of my pants these days.  Therefor.. it's 5 Minute Tuesday this week!  When I thought about today's card, I knew it was going to be a quick and easy card ( since that's what 5 Minute Monday entails) yet I wanted it to be different than just pretty paper or die cuts. So I thought "simple stamping". I realized that over the years I have been using so many beautiful papers and dies that I forgot my original roots when creating cards, which was simply stamping.  So our card today involves only the "Trees for Sale" stamp set. When it was re...
