By The Bay ~ Quick & Easy Thank you Card

Image
This quick & easy Thank you card brings us back to the By The Bay designer paper . The back ground of this card comes from that paper pack.  Add a touch of ribbon and some rhinestones for sparkle.  How easy it that?! This card starts with a card base in Night of Navy card stock cut at 4 1/4 x 11 ~ Scored at 4 x 5 1/4  The designer paper layer is cut at 4 x 5 1/4.  I used the Stamparatus to stamp the "thanks" sentiment so that I could stamp it several times for a crisp clear image.  Also, this beautiful paper has some sheen to the paper in certain sections, so I stamped the sentiment in a space on this paper where there was no sheen, so that the ink wouldn't smudge. I wrapped a piece of white ribbon around the DSP layer before attaching it to the card front.   I tied a little knot in the ribbon, added a few rhinestones and of course stamped an inside layer for this card. I used a 3/4 x 4 strip of the same DSP on the inside layer, as well as ...

5 Minute Monday ~ By The Bay Designer Paper

Image
Today's 5 Minute Monday is a brilliant use of the By The Bay designer paper paired with the Seaside Bay stamp set.   Either of these cards starts with a background of  this gorgeous selection of papers.  The water inspired designs and natural hues in this paper are sure to have breathtaking results when creating cards. Half of the designs in the paper pack have a shine or a shimmer that the photo doesn't even bring to life.  Absolutely gorgeous paper!! The Seaside Bay stamp set is filled with images to create waterfront scenes. The stamp set is also paired in a bundle with the Seaside Bay dies. Vertical card or Horizontal Card ( use desired paper for either card ) Night of Navy cardstock - 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  Scored @ 4 1/4 By The Bay designer paper - 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White cardstock - 4 x 5 1/4 (card inside) Cut & Score card pieces. Using Soft Suede Ink stamp the little birds from the By the Bay stamp set.  Stamp the desired sentiment in Nigh...

Hues of Happiness ~ Beautifully Framed

Image
I cut the Roses from this beautiful Hues of Happiness Paper and formed them into a lovely arrangement of flowers to sit in the corner of this double cut frame card layout.  This paper leaves so many options to create gorgeous cards. New product was released and this paper fell to the wayside a little, so I just wanted to showcase something to bring it to light again. You could use any sentiment that you have really, as long as it fits inside the box. The greeting can then be seen when the card is open and when it is closed.  To create this card I started with a Blushing Bride card base cut at 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, Scored at 4 1/4 I cut a piece of Basic White Cardstock at 4 x 5 1/4 Using a large square die I cut a square from the Basic White Layer.  I then lined that layer up over the card base and used it as a template to show where I should cut a smaller square from the card base.  I removed the Basic White Layer and cut the square from the card base.  I atta...

Day at the Farm ~ Tent Card

Image
This adorable card is another example of the tent card layout that we covered in the previous post. This card features this farm worthy " Day at the Farm " designer paper that's available FREE with a $60 (CAD) purchase during Sale a-bration.  Born and raised on a farm, and still living in a rural farm area this paper definitely caught my attention!  View Sale abration!! Peekaboo Farm stamp set created the cute little focal point for this card.  This stamp has been extremely overlooked on my stamp shelf for quite some time, so when this paper appeared in the Sale a-bration brochure ~ it was the perfect chance to use a stamp set I already owned with a new paper.  I'm sure I'll be creating a few more cards with this duo!  If you would like to create this card layout, you can find the tutorial here .

Hoot! Hoot! ~ Owl Tent Card

Image
Is this card to cute or what?!!? I've used this tent card layout several times in the past to create a 3D looking scene on a card front. The card layout is really quite simple, however the fussy cutting of images and placing everything just right can be a little time consuming ~ yet worth it!  For this card example I used the Adorable Owls  stamp set which is Free with a $60 (CAD) purchase during Sale a-bration. The designer paper is Happy Forest Friends .  So... let's get to some measurements so you can get started to create this card.  If you don't have the Adorable Owls ~ use this card as inspiration to create a beautiful card with the supplies that you do have!  Card Cutting Measurements Card base ~ 4 1/4 x 11  Scored @ 5 1/2 4 1/4 x 3  Scored @ 3/4, 1 1/2, 2 1/4 DSP - 4 x 5 1/4 (background scene layer) DSP 2 ~ 4 x 5 1/4 (for card front) Basic white scrap for stamping a Greeting and the desired images.   Instructions: Cut ...

5 Minute Monday ~ Country Bouquet

Image
Today's 5 Minute Monday Card features the Country Bouquet Bundle as well as the Country Floral Lane Designer Paper . The image on the card front is a 2 step stamped image, however very easy to stamp.  This card is a very plain & simple stamped card, yet beautiful. I started with a Sweet Sorbet card base of 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 ~ Scored at 4 1/4 I stamped the beautiful floral heart stamp on a layer of Basic White cardstock cut 4 x 5 1/4   The first section of the stamp was stamped in Mossy Meadow Ink, and the second section in Sweet Sorbet Ink. Using a scrap of Basic White 2 1/4 x 1/2 to stamp the "Just Wanted to Say" Greeting.  I used dimensionals to attach the greeting to the bottom left of the heart image. I added a few of the In Color Rhinestones to the card front for a little added interest. The inside card panel measures 4 x 5 1/4 . I attached a strip of the Country Floral Lane Designer Paper cut at 1 1/8 x 5 1/4 ( the extra 1/8 of inch is so the heart doesn'...
