Sorry for Ruffling Your Feathers! - Hey Chuck Bundle +

How many of us needs to keep one of these cards on hand for sending out... ?! In my case, someone might have caught me before coffee and when that  happens I can be a touch harsh (just a touch). I may need to create a stack of these cards to have on hand!

Creating a card from the unexpected!

This card was really just a fluke... I was playing around with some tiny  images  that are included on my grass stencil.  The stencil is from Your Next Stamp, and it's safe to sat that out loud  since Stampin' Up doesn't offer a grass stencil. The stencil has a few little flowers on it 3 different sizes, and a some little dot patterns and as you can see I put those to work.  Basically, I just wanted to see how they would look, so I just blended them with some Fresh Freesia Ink and a blending brush - keeping most of the color in the center of the flowers. I blended a few of the dots in Basic Grey Ink in random placements on the card. Then finished off by cutting 3 layers from a random word die "Thanks".  I used liquid glue to build the 3 layers up and then glued them to the card front. 3 Layers of Cardstock glued together gives a lovely look of dimension.  Yet. it's different than using dimensionals. The sentiment appears so  solid and popped up of...

Zany Zoo Birthday Card ~ Kid Cards

Image
Today is my Granddaughter's Birthday!  I'm always in a rut when it comes to creating kids birthday cards. I just don't have the supplies to create super cool cards for kids... yet!! The inspiration for this card came from a Stampin' Up demonstrator who had made a beautiful card featuring some of the characters from the Zany Zoo designer paper   (on sale right now) , and she had created a gorgeous background with a cloud die cut ( Basic Borders Dies ) and  pretty pastel colors. Her card was beautiful! So... for this card I blended with Petal Pink , Coastal Cabana and my cloud stencil. A cloud stencil is a must have - search for one at Scrapbook.com I also used my cloud stencil to trace and cut some layers of cloud, then blended those with color as well. I popped up the fussy cut clouds using dimensionals on the bottom of the card front.  I cut the balloons from the Zany Zoo designer paper .  It's a little raccoon character this is usually holding them.   I love a good deal!  And... right now this wishful stamp set is available in the Clearance Bin  at Stampin' Up for $21.00 (CAD), which is about the max I really want  to spend on a stamp set. With the rising costs in living happening around the country at this time,  I've had to find better bargains when it comes to card making  and paper crafting.  So, given some of the lovely sentiments included in this set and the potential  to create more than a few really nice cards ~ I figure the Garden Wishes  stamp set will be worth the money spent!  The card above works up quickly despite the tiny bit of blending, and  coloring a few leaves and a bee. It's a pretty card made in no time at all! The Countryside Inn Designer Paper has many choices that could be used as a background for this card... and speaking of bargains ~ It's on Sale right now! In fact, all of Stampin' Ups Designer papers are on sale until June 30th. Plus!!!  June 2...
