  Today we are creating this beautiful card layout with " One Horse Open Sleigh " designer paper.  It's not a Christmas card ~ it was designed to be a "So Grateful" card, however you can use any sentiments you choose on it.  The paper is so subtle and beautiful it would work for Sympathy, Birthday... or almost any occasion you desire. The layout is cute and fun and just a little something special! Please keep in mind I am no professional when it comes to videos, in fact there is no sound. However, you do get the gist of how the card is put together.   Oh my, Oh my, Oh my, Lord love a duck... is all I can really say about this paper! It is absolutely stunning and so easy to create beautiful cards with.  As I had said in a previous post, my intention was to showcase a few cards for a very tiny stint of "Christmas in July".  I am by no means ready to talk about Christmas, prepare for Christmas or anything even close to it.  Anywho, I had ordered the Trucking Along stamp set and it didn't arrive in my order, so I am still in waiting for that.  Hence these cards only feature the " One Horse Open Sleigh " Designer Paper.   Fun in the Sun Paper Pumpkin Card Kit ~ What can I say? Well... it was definitely fun to create this kit!  Outstanding cards in this kit, and when I say outstanding I really mean it! The card bases are a side step card ~ creating tons of dimension for the  beachy backgrounds and die cut images.  You have to know that any kit with flip flops is going to be fun!!   One can't help but feel like the surf's up when creating these awesome fun fold cards! Sand, palm trees, surf boards and even a little crab take your imagination straight to the beach, you can almost hear seagulls and feel the spray of the water while stamping the fun greetings that go with this kit!  Whether its sand pails, sun and seashells or a beautiful sunset on a sandy beachfront ~ there is nothing that you won't love about putting this card kit together!   This beautiful "One Horse Open Sleigh" Designer paper ~  does anything else need to be said?! Without a doubt this paper has to be one of the most gorgeous papers that  Stampin' Up has rolled out at us... I had some cards planned for this week featuring this paper and the Trucking Along stamp set that was just released in the Online Exclusives section, however I finally got my order to land all the way over here in Canada ( it seems to take a long time to get here) and the Trucking Along stamp set was missing from the order when it arrived last week.  I have inquired as to it's where abouts with no reply as of yet!   Hopefully I hear something soon! Without the featured stamp set I can't showcase the cards that I had originally planned for a small stint of Christmas in July !!  I don't have any other current Christmas stamp set from Stampin' Up to show everyone so my challenge may be creating "stand alone" cards with this beautiful paper.  That...

I created the background paper for this card using the large and medium daisy from the Cheerful Daisies Stamp set from Stampin' Up.   I randomly stamped the 2 images in the background using Pretty Peacock Ink .  I used a Water Painter and gently brushed some of the ink down  the petal  from the center out.   I stamped the center of the daisies using Lemon Lolly Ink . I cut a card base at 8 1/2 x 4 1/4, Scored @4 1/4 in Lemon Lolly cardstock. Attached the stamped background to a layer of Pretty Peacock cardstock cut  at 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 and adhered that to the card base. Using a scrap piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock , I stamped the "Thanks" sentiment from the Sentimental Park stamp set in Versa Mark Ink , covered in white embossing powder and heat embossed using my heat tool .  I attached the sentiment to the card front using dimensionals. Lastly, I brushed the flowers with a touch of Wink of Stella for a little glimmer and shine, then adde...

This cute card was created with the Cheerful Daisies stamp set from Stampin' Up. I stamped the 3 daisy images on Basic White cardstock , and brushed on some minimal shading to the daisies using a Grey Granite Stampin' Blend . I then die cut the daisies using the Cheerful Daisies Dies , as well as a few sprigs and leaves which were die cut from Basic White cardstock.   SAVE $$$:   Cheerful Daisies Bundle   I colored the sprigs and leaves with a combination of light and dark Granny Apple Green and Old Olive Stampin' Blends markers. It's not really coloring, it's just flicking the side  of the brush tip over the die cuts. Using Glorious Gingham Designer paper I cut 2 - 1 inch strips from the side of one sheet.  I then cut the strips at 1 inch increments until I had 8 - 1 inch squares. I haphazardly placed the squares across the middle section of a 5 1/4 x 4 section of Basic White cardstock. I attached that layer to a Berry Blast card base  ( * 1/2 x 5 1/2...

  Today we made this "Flamazing" & Fun Greeting Card on my you tube channel.  I needed to create some Flamingo themed greeting cards for a customer who is just wild about Flamingo's! Where I come from, deep in the countryside of Eastern Ontario all leisure  hours  point to huntin', fishin' and other great redneck games!!  Many locals spend free enjoying these activities when  not  fighting off mosquitos!! People work hard & play hard!! When choosing a card ( whether creating or purchasing ), people want a card that reflects the recipient.  You're not going to give a golfing themed card to someone who has never spent a day on the green.  Up until recently, it's been difficult to find a stamp set and supplies that would reflect a great hunting or fishing themed card.  I have had a few deer, a bear or a moose but not really anything that gave the creative freedom to create something really great for this theme of card.
