Beary Cute Christmas Card

Image
Beary Cute Christmas Card Quick & Easy to Create This card was created with Stampin' Up Beary Cute Stamp Set and the  coordinating  designer paper.  Yes... I do still create with some Stampin' Up products. The new creative journey I have been on has been so amazing it's like seeing a whole new world, and it is really - a whole new world of crafting supplies and ways to create with them.  While I much enjoyed my time spent with Stampin' Up I have ventured into creative freedom and I am loving it. I was previously just stuck when it came to the creative process. I wasn't loving the products in front of me, I was purchasing product because I felt I had to and not because I necessarily wanted to create with it.  I am now in a place where I walk into my studio and I create with any product. I choose numerous items, none of them from the same company. There are so many amazing companies and products out there in the crafting world that my creative process is just ...

Happy Thanksgiving My American Friends ~ Pass the Gravy!

Image
Forest Feast Slider Card/Shaker Card This card not only features adorable forest creatures feasting on Thanksgiving dinner but's its also a shaker card and a slider card all in one!  So let's just back up to Thanksgiving here for a minute...  Before I get to the creation of this card I would just like to say  "Happy Thanksgiving to my American Friends" I wish you all a blessed day filled with warmth, laughter and great food!  As a Canadian I don't know a lot about the American Thanksgiving other than what I've seen on the Hallmark movies, and the realization that Black Friday falls on the Friday after.  However, I can't image that it is all that different than the Canadian celebration in that we are thankful for our many blessings as we gather together with family and friends to enjoy an overload of turkey and amazing side dishes.  Now, traditionally in my life the sides have always included stuffing(dressing), mashed potatoes, gravy, carrots, turnip, squa...

Using Die Cuts to Create a Beautiful Winter Card

Image
Winter Welcome Sled Using die cuts to create a beautiful winter card.   Sale Alert!!  I purchased these Winter Welcome Sled Dies a month or so ago and knew they would be just perfect for some winter themed holiday cards.  A die set that would allow me to create cards with something other than the traditional cutesy elves - something more elegant.  And, that they did!  As always Spellbinder dies are designed beautiful, cut so smoothly and easily and I don't have to  take them apart when they come in the mail (disassembling those tiny dies is not a favorite task  for anyone who struggles with arthritis).   These dies arrived, sat in my new product bin and awaited me to finally make it down the large "to do" list of projects and products to try out.  Before I move on to this project... I just want to let you know that I just checked while writing this post to be sure this product was still available before I started yammering on...

Dazzle M Nightly - Sweet November Snowman Collection

Image
Meet Dazzle M Nightly Just one of the adorable snowmen in the Sweet November Digital Stamp Collection! These fun digital images are just so darn cute I can't stop creating with them... Plus I just happen to love snowmen, so chances are you will end up seeing a few more in this cute collection of snowmen before the season is over.  It won't all be about snow though,  I have a happy medium of projects planned out since we still have many other occasions this time of year other than just Christmas.  There wasn't a lot of coloring to this card - just the big Christmas tree in the room..lol  and the little houses in the background which have snow covered roofs in my scene, so that left very little coloring there either.  Those cute little Christmas lights had an array of typical Christmas light colors and of course the snowman's hat was a traditional trappers hat in red and black checks. Dazzle M Nightly needed just a little shading to make his snowy body stan...

Simple Elegance - Ornaments Christmas Card

Image
Simple Elegance Featuring "Ornaments" Digital Stamp from the collection of Jan Mahew The image featured on this beautiful holiday card is actually a free image! Don't you love when something is free? Especially something that can be used over and over again... Just as a red rubber stamp or a photopolymer stamp can be used over and over again, the same is true for a digital stamp.  I have been having so much fun creating with these digital stamp collections as you can probably tell from the featured photos in the posts here.  There is so much to love about a digital stamp -  The price point is amazing! You can beat the price of creating with these digital images. The average image is equal to the price of a dollar store item. There is not cost for shipping. And the image in the card above was actually free remember... I'll tell you about that in just a minute.  Digital images or stamps are definitely a fabulous solution when it comes to storage space in our cra...

Designing a card with Digital Images - Puddin'

Image
Designing a card front  with Digital Images -  From Sweet November Stamps I love using digital images to design a card front, and the adorable images from Sweet November Stamps are just perfect for that .  So firstly, I have visited their website and purchased the images that I want to work with and saved them in my files.  Here is where I just want to take 2 seconds and talk a bit about digital stamps - I absolutely love them for several reasons. First of all, they are instant. You see an image you like, add it to your card, pay for it and poof you can work with it just seconds later. Next would be super easy storage!! The digital images just sit on a shelf in your computer, taking up very little space. They fit in anyone's craft space! Even if you don't have much hard drive space on your computer you can store them on google drive or something similar and access them from your phone, tablet, or desktop computer!  The idea of working with a digital image...
