Birthday Card - Fur & Flutter ( Penny Black )

Image
Who Doesn't Love An Adorable Bear?! And A Birthday Bear, at that! I hope everyone is enjoying your holiday season and the magic it brings with it.  I, for one have had enough of the hustle and bustle and I'm ready to sit down and enjoy a long winter's nap... just kidding - I'm ready to relax and take in a holiday movie or 2, view some of the beautiful twinkling light displays and the quietness of the season before it comes to a screeching halt.  In the past few post Christmas days, I've spend a little time in my studio working with some new products and a birthday theme. I started out with balloons, confetti and cupcakes - that resulted in a few cute cards. But I've had this Penny Black stamp set sitting glaring at me since October and I've just been itching to spend some time with it, when it called to me again.  I had a quick idea in my head, so I pushed aside the "currently in progress project" and pulled out these delightful bears. In the mom...

Life is Better with Friends - Greeting Card

Image
Life is Better with Friends Creating with a Digital Image Again, I can't stress how much I am enjoying creating with digital images. I've been using them so much that I feel like I've been neglecting my stamp sets.  But... the images are so darn cute!!  Ok.. I haven't forgotten my stamp sets. I've been in my studio creating with more fun products including some great new stamp sets.  I'll be featuring many of these stamp sets along with some other amazing new product reviews in the New Year!  The holidays have been so busy that it's hard to chop out a block of time to sit down and really create - I mean really create... like new fun folds, new techniques, all of that requires huge segments of time. Not to mention blogging, videos, and so, so , so much technical work - just to share a card idea with all of you.  Don't get me wrong... I love creating and sharing, however I could use a technical guru to help me with all of the other aspects that come with s...

Peace & Love - Creating a Card front with a digital image

Image
Sweet Reindeer This adorable reindeer & bunnies are super sweet wrapped in their festive decor. A little bunny offering the reindeer a candy cane only adds to the sweetness! This card was created with a Ram Stamps digital design.  Sweet Reindeer Use my coupon code to receive 10% off of your order at Ram Stamps. The design was super easy to create. I colored the image using my Copic markers. Created  a frame mask by cutting out a large rectangle with a die on just basic copy paper. I  place the mask frame over the image and blended a hint of green ink at the bottom  of the image, as well as a bit of sky blue to lightly fill in the white space around the image.  All within the confines of the mask, so that when the mask is removed you have a nice framed out image. I backed the card front on a card base matted with a piece of darker green cardstock.  I did add a few highlight spots using a white gel pen and a few white dots to the deer. I added a sp...

Quick & Easy Christmas Card

Image
A Simply Quick & Easy Christmas Card When creating your holiday cards do you create them in a batch or create each one individually? This card design is perfect if you are creating multiple cards and will be just beautiful if you only want to make it once! I bet you can't make just one though...  This card starts with a white card stock base cut at 4 1/4 x 11, and scored at 5 1/2.  A piece of patterned paper cut at 4 1/4 x 2 1/4.  Choose your favorite patterned paper, there are so many fun Christmas prints available at this time of the year, or perhaps you have lots in your stash to be used up.  A few random snowflakes.   These were left over Wonderful Snowflakes from Stampin' Up, but you could just die cut some snowflakes or purchase some already cut snowflake embellishments. My original snowflakes for this design were left over from another project and I'll share that card as well.  A Christmas sentiment I chose a sentiment that I had in my stash, you...

Ho Ho How Cute is this Christmas card?!

Image
HO HO HOw cute is this card?! Ho Ho Home for the Holidays This card was created with yet another digital image!  I love them!  I see an image I love and I don't have to wait for the postal system to create with it!  I simply download it, print it and get creative!  I used the Mr. & Mrs. Claus digital image from Ram Stamps to create the card above.  I colored the image with Copic markers. Cut the image out using a set of nesting deckled edge dies. Backed it onto a 4 1/4 x 5 piece of patterned paper to coordinate with the coloring. Then adhered it to a 4 1/4 x 11 (scored at 5 1/4 ) card base using foam tape. I finished the card off with a metallic gold splatter by combining water color paint with just a touch of water then splattered the card front using a small fan paint brush. The card front was completed with a few red rhinestones for added interest! This card was in the top 5 most popular Christmas cards for 2023!  You can find the digital image...

Creating a Beautiful Baby Card

Image
Welcome Sweet Baby Creating a Beautiful Baby Card This card is so adorably gorgeous that I posted it on social media and was completely flogged with orders for it, everyone simply needed this card for an upcoming baby!  The card features a digital stamp design from Ram Stamps, which is a gold mine of beautiful images that I have been working with in my digital adventures.  The card was easy to create - a digital file, a rectangle mask (self created), some inks for blending and some copic markers.  If you are new to using digital files to create images on your card front you can find out more about that here . I'm also working on a step by step video to help you see how easy working with digital images can be. After all, seeing it is easier than reading instructions.  So... if you have read the brief how to on digital images or perhaps you were already schooled on the procedure and have that in your arsenal of crafty tricks here is where to find this adorable image at...

Best Teas - Friendship Card

Image
So Glad We Are Best Teas Posi "tea"vely fantastic stamp set! This adorable card was created using the Tea Cup Blooms stamp   from Trinity Stamps.  Trinity Stamps are amazing stamps to create with, they are made of quality material for perfect stamping! I sometimes use a stamp positioning tool when I am creating cards, however I don't even have to pull it out when I am using Trinity Stamps. The stamp is always beautiful and crisp with just one stamp!  The stamp set is a nice combination of beautiful and adorable. It features some lovely flowers to place in the tea cup or anywhere else on your card front. There are also a few single flowers and leaves that can be added to the bouquet or used on their own.  The tea cup and saucer feature a filler stamp to fill your cup with tea (coffee), and a cute little tea bag as an add on to your cup.  I paired up with the Punny Cup of Tea sentiment set to choose  the perfect greetings for my card.  I've made a few c...
