Quick & Easy Christmas Card

A Simply Quick & Easy Christmas Card

When creating your holiday cards do you create them in a batch or create each one individually?

This card design is perfect if you are creating multiple cards and will be just beautiful if you only want to make it once! I bet you can't make just one though...

This card starts with a white card stock base cut at 4 1/4 x 11, and scored at 5 1/2.

A piece of patterned paper cut at 4 1/4 x 2 1/4.

Choose your favorite patterned paper, there are so many fun Christmas prints available at this time of the year, or perhaps you have lots in your stash to be used up.

A few random snowflakes.

These were left over Wonderful Snowflakes from Stampin' Up, but you could just die cut some snowflakes or purchase some already cut snowflake embellishments. My original snowflakes for this design were left over from another project and I'll share that card as well.

A Christmas sentiment

I chose a sentiment that I had in my stash, you know - use what you have!

"It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year", I use this sentiment a lot.

So nothing special, you don't have to buy anything to create this project.

Rhinestones or Gems

The rhinestones or gems are nothing fancy, just whatever happened to be lingering in my stash that looked like it was a good match with the patterned paper or sparkly enough to highlight the snowflakes.

Build this card:

Attach the section of patterned paper to the card front about a half inch from the bottom of the card. Stamp the greeting in the desired color to coordinate with the pattern paper on the top right of the card - not to far up. You can stage the snowflakes in place to know where you will need to place your greeting.

** When I create a card I place the focal image, and any embellishments as well as the sentiment stamp itself and place it all around on the card front until I find the positioning I like the most.

Place one snowflake using glue or tape seal over top of the patterned paper.

Use some foam tape cut small to adhere the second snowflake just overlapping the first snowflake a touch. When you get that wintery snowstorm feeling - it's in the right place.

Add a rhinestone or gem to the center of each snowflake and one just up above the sentiment as an accent.

I used a silver water color from my water color paint box combined with a few drops of water and small paint brush to create a splatter silvery splatter on the card front.

The card turned out just beautiful!

Give it a try! This card is so quick & easy to make, yet gives you a beautiful card. And it doesn't use a ton of supplies or even specific supplies to create it.

You should be able to rustle up most of the items to create the card right in your stash!

So Happy Crafting...
