Chasing Butterflies - Celebration Card

Image
Chasing Butterflies This adorable bear looks like he is trying to catch butterflies and that are fluttering by with some Celebration wishes... This is yet another lovely image from the Penny Black - Cherished Collection -              Fur & Flutters stamp set The teddy bear images from this stamp set are super cute to work with. The first card design was so well loved that I created this card using the same layout with a different teddy bear image. I did in fact, create all 3 bears from the stamp set using this same card layout.  The layout is fun and playful with a postage stamp die used to create the focal point. Some twine wrapped around the card base and tied in a bow. Sparkling splatters of Cosmic Shimmer highlight the butterflies. A tiny sentiment stamped in a non traditional fashion fits just right between the butterflies. A few shimmery rhinestones add a final touch.  The card is super simple to create.  Even the colorin...

Celebration Cupcake - January Starts with a Bang!

Image
January starts with a Bang!! Traditionally, January comes in with a bang and the New Year is celebrated with fireworks, streamers, and confetti. Possibly even the bang or pop of a champagne cork.  Why not in our crafting space as well?!  While there are no fireworks or champagne in my studio - I guess there could be champagne?! It would definitely make crafting very interesting...😂 Ok, so no champagne, however January is going to be a month of celebrations when it comes to creating card fronts. It's a great time to refresh from Christmas trees, Santa and adorably cute and festive seasonal characters ( there will still be characters ).  I've started out with this beautifully pink and posh cupcake!  The card is created in simple format, being that it is simply stamped on a  4 1/8 x 5 3/8 layer of white cardstock. There are no layers, masking or die cutting. Except of the sentiment. The sentiment is die cut.  This cupcake stamp comes from Trinity Stamps - Cel...

Magical Meadow ~ Beautiful Winter Card with a Stampin Up stamp set

Image
Are we still crafting winter cards? Is winter where it's at?  Have we moved on to spring creations in our paper crafting?  What stage are you at? Are you still crafting up snowmen and winter themed cards in your craft room? That was a lot of questions, I know.  I'm curious as to what everyone else is working on. We are at that time of year -  Christmas is over, we have passed the hype of New Year, the stores are filled  with Valentine's and Easter Baskets!! Here in Eastern Ontario we are still looking at bare ground as though it were early November and that doesn't happen often. Usually this time of year we would be  wading through at least a foot of snow and would probably be looking at a chilly  -20 for a daily temperature.  Currently we have been hovering around 0, and just below zero in the evenings. So this weather has me in a crafting blunder. When I look out the windows from my studio it almost appears that the trees are trying to bud which...
